This thunder shaker toy is a tin noisy toy.  The shaker is simply a tin tube that has a long metal coil string connected to it.  When you shake it, the coil moves and vibrates causing a loud rumbling sound.  The tin tube is 6.5" x 2", and the coil is 17" long.  The noisemaker toy comes in 3 styles: Hero, yeti, and dragon.
